This is Brooks' new pose when he goes to sleep. It is so sweet and he looks like he is just worn out.I thought he was doing it to keep the light out of his eyes, but he does it in the dark as well. He also loves to say dadadadada, but his dada don't seem to hear him say that at 0400 in the am-just kidding-not really.

I always thought that snakes weren't really around except around the water. I thought if anyone got bit it would have to be they were in the lake or the river. However we have already seen so many kids in the er this year that have been bitten while playing in their yards. This copperhead was in my parents yard. My dad was cutting the grass and saw it. He trapped it with the lawnmower and cut its head off. This is the second snake that we have seen in their yard in the past few weeks. The first one was a black snake that we didn't catch. However I"m glad he got this one because it would be pretty bad if anyone got bit by this thing. We have a chain on it because it continued to move around. Just an fyi- watch out in your yard while your children are playing because apparently these things are everywhere.
We had been planning on going to ride in the boat all weekend but since it rained we up and decided we would go on Monday. So off we go (me, Jeff, Weston, and Brooks). On the way there I start to hear a noise and look back and don't really see anything wrong, and then a minute later Jeff is slamming on the brakes and pulling off the road. You got it, we had a flat tire on the boat trailer. Of course it was the one time we forgot to put the spare in the car and we were on a river road where 18 wheelers think they own the road and fly 90 to nothing. Neither one of our cell phones would pick up to call anyone for help. Our only choice was to leave the boat and head back home. However we found a shop that let us borrow a jack and we bought a tire from them. So after driving back and forth to this shop, we finally got in the water about two hours later and road for a few hours and fished. Jeff caught the only fish but we had fun riding. I always say I'm not going back in the boat because it always seems like something goes wrong but it is fun once we get in the water.
Tuesday night, Jeff and I took Weston, Jalen, Elijah, and Brooks bowling. The boys had their own lane with bumpers and me and Jeff were on the next lane competing. I won the first two games and Jeff won the last three. Brooks just hung out in his stroller and watched us for the most part and the boys loved it. They have never bowled before and we haven't been in forever. I forgot how fun it is. We will have to do it more often.
